A log home requires more than protection from sun and rain – the sheer size of the wood demands a coating that “breathes” freely to prevent moisture from getting trapped and rotting the log from within.

Not surprisingly, Classic works just as well on other exterior vertical surfaces, like shakes, shingles, siding and fences. Whatever the application, your wood will be protected with an ultra-violet (UV) and water-repellent shield of lasting and remarkable beauty. Classic is easy to apply – with simple soap and water clean-up – and easy to maintain.

Sansin SDF provides tough, effective protection for wood siding. SDF’s specially formulated oils and resins penetrate into the wood, providing outstanding weather and UV protection in a wide range of natural, semi-transparent and even solid colors. Thanks to SDF’s unique water-borne technology, it can provide complete protection in just one coat – although a second coat will provide an even more beautiful and richer finish.

And because SDF is designed to be highly water-repellent, it’s a natural choice for homes and structures in moisture-rich environments. Not only does SDF protect the outside of your wood, it also protects the inside by allowing the wood to “breathe” which helps prevent moisture from getting trapped in the wood and causing rot.

Sansin SDF Topcoat is a highly protective, exceptionally durable top-coat system that can be applied to any SDF base coat system including SDF Foundation for a fuller, satin-like finish – for substrates including siding, soffits, decks, logs, and timbers. SDF Topcoat is highly durable against moisture and weathering and is available in four tintable bases.

It is UV stable, water-repellent, low in VOC’s, and non-flammable with easy soap and water cleanup. SDF Topcoat will not crack, peel, or blister. Maintenance applications can be planned every four to six years on vertical surfaces depending on the number of coats applied.

Sansin ENS is a durable two-coat finish that can be applied to virtually any surface – from millwork and siding to decks and outdoor furniture – and even to improve the performance of other coatings. ENS is often used with a first coat of Sansin Foundation, SDF or Classic, resulting in a satin or gloss finish of exceptional beauty on projects with longer maintenance cycles.

ENS is highly resistant to wear, doesn’t discolor over time, and provides some of the toughest UV protection available. Whatever your project, the exceptional characteristics of ENS – in either natural, semi-transparent or solid finishes – will raise it to a new standard of beauty and durability.

Sansin Wood Sealer is a low VOC water-borne protective wood treatment that aggressively repels water while allowing wood to breathe. Over a short time, the wood will weather uniformly to a beautiful silver grey tone. Wood Sealer provides exceptional protection and won’t break down with exposure to sunlight, retaining its water-repellency and protecting against weathering and wood rot. Because it erodes gently with time, maintenance is easy – just apply a fresh coat of Wood Sealer.

Wood Sealer is designed to bring dimensional stability to wood by reducing moisture absorption up to 74% during wetting periods.

Wood Sealer dries clear, will not peel and can be used for interiors as well as exteriors. Wood Sealer is ideal for log homes, decks, fences, wood shingles, gazebos, yard furniture and wood siding.

Eradicates and protects against wood-destroying fungi, insects and mold. Ideal for both new and existing timbers.

Sansin Boracol is designed both to eradicate and protect against fungi, mold and decay-causing insects. It penetrates wood exceptionally well, even including heartwood, up to 3-5mm deep; and then establishes a reserve from where further penetration takes place (up to 40mm over 2 years in dry wood). Because Boracol diffuses with moisture, it will travel faster into wood with higher moisture content.

Boracol can be used to eradicate wood rot in existing structures, and it can also be used to protect new and existing logs and timbers against fungi and insect attack. Sansin Boracol contains boron which is far less hazardous than traditional treatments and will give your project the lasting protection it needs – with low toxicity.
